Where abouts can I get a really cheap 200mW red module? I have looked around and I am looking at around £270... Theres got to be cheaper ones somewhere.

Any wavelength as long as its in the red zone and either TTL or analogue are my only requirments.

yes there is a much cheaper way!! build your own.

diode - £15
aixiz housing with glass lens - £4
driver - £15-20

also check PL forum someone is selling 200mw red modules.

I have this unit its great i put it in a spiro best 17 bucks i spent in a while
although they are no longer availible to us in the U.S :'(

Buy this:

And use it for the heatsink. An aixiz module fits perfectly, so you can take the 70mW module out, put in a open can, and maybe keep the driver for TTL modulation if you want it. If you don't, give it a rkcstr driver, and it will run on 6v.

Voila
