I don't even know where to start... I love building things, and i think a laser would be a fun project for me to do! Im just wondering if there are any tutorials on building a laser... I looked around a bit, didn't see anything.. I don't can what mW it is.. Any threads like this that i could check out ?

There's tons of threads, all of which are stickied at the top of the forums sections, which will get you started out on the right foot. Read as many stickied threads as you can and you'll do just fine.

Keep trying my friend! Just get goggles, we do not appreciate you not using goggles with ANY laser over 5mw. Have fun bud!

Honestly, I want you to know...You HAVE to just get into this forum, read EVERY sections POPULAR thread and you will pick up on EVERYTHING you need to know. I NEVER planned on building a DIY laser but just by spending 2+ hours a day on this forum I think I can certainly do it. JUST browse, it takes time man, trust me it is fun to read this forum!!! ;)

Building my first one myself!

Progress is being made, this is step three of five.
Last two steps (driver assembly and diode purchase/installment) will be posted as well...
Thanks for the help to all the cool peeps at LPF!!!
I am a mad scientist now!!!
(with the appropriate safety goggles)

You could see the link in my signature (the heatsink one) to get some inspiration to building a RGB(V) setup. Its a hobby version and a good fun project :-) When you are ready to take it a step further you can use it in a scanner project. Happy building.
