So i have all the parts to build a laser but have decided that i would rather have someone else do it for me if possible. I pm'ed a member a while back that said would put it all together as lond as i covered the shipping cost but some issues arose with him that made the plans fall through. If anyone would be willing to please let me know. i have a 3405 host, v2 jayrob heatsink, drlava driver and 20x red LOC. I had the driver set to 300ma but may need it to be altered for this diode. Thanks.

I would do it for you, but I am relatively new here so it's understandable if you want a more trusted member.

I'd gladly do it as long as shipping was covered, Red Open Cans is pretty much all i work with. and your gunna like the host/heatsink combo, great quality.

PS i run my 20x open can at 450Ma ^_^ 300 will definately be ok, ecspecialy with an awsome jayrob heatsink.

i am NOT saying anything about Darkarmyofone and his abilities or skills, but you wanted an experienced member that has been on the forum for more than a month. probably not the best of idea using someone on the forum that is just as new as you are. look for a senior member. there are alot of people on the forum that will help you out. once again...i am NOT saying anything about Darkartmyofone and his abilities or skills, but something bad could happen you didn't plan on (has happened in the past). just be cautious.

I was thinking the same also. I just jumped the gun on the first reply. I can still wait out for others, no need to rush on this and end up wasting money.

I could do it too but since I'm in Spain you would need to wait a bit more. The shipping is 4$ I think so 8$ all.

Albert

I'd say build it yourself. The feeling I like most about my lasers is the fact that I made it. I could sell one or two of my lasers for $100 or more each to some people locally, but I don't because to me they're worth more since it's something I personally made.

Really, it's not at all hard to do, especially if you're using a purchased driver instead of an LM317 one. Also, since it's already pre-set... it's even easier. Edit: Also, you already have the heatsink... another easy +

I broke my first 6 or 7 diodes... but it was well worth the experience. If you want more lasers in the future, such as a Blu-ray PHR and stuff, you're gonna need to get the experience somewhere. Don't be intimidated, just try... and if you fail, TRY TRY AGAIN. :)

I mean, cause if you just wanted a red burner or something, this would've been cheaper and already made: http://o-like.com/b2b_cpinfo.asp?id=926 (I bought it just cause it's FAMOUS... but rlly, I never use it cause it's not as special)

Ya the wait to and from Spain would be a bit long, also not sure about all the customs stuff. Thanks for the offer though.

The more i think about it the more i want to try to put it together Alex. Just can't seem to muster up the courage to do it yet. Depending on the offers i get here i may just end up doing it myself. Your totally right about the feeling of putting something together yourself though!

Offers? are you waiting for somebody to offer to pay you to build it for you?

p.s. that was a joke!

I am in the U.S. if you are still looking for someone. Although not by much I have been here longer and have done a good deal of business with some of the senior members here. But I really suggest you build it yourself. Nothing satisfies like a good 'ol DIY project.

Thanks Gata, still haven't decided. The more and more i think about it the more i just want to do it myself. Guess ill have to make up my mind sooner or later.

Yea, I would also do it myself, the most dificult for me is to collect all pieces, but once you got them it's really easy to build. The diode is not that expensive if you kill it anyway.

Customs in spain can't take nothing since it's not a laser, they are components, and the USA ones... I'd mark it as flashlight and if it doesn't come with batteries I doubt nothing would happen.

Anyway, if you don't wanna wait, using priority mail is just 7-8$

It's everything up to you, but I really would mount it myself

Yours,
Albert

I would build it, but I need to build my own. Currently waiting on my flexdrive.
