I thought it was good quality... not at all !!!!
when I put the battery in, the spring "detach" . The battery has unsoldered the spring !!!!! :yabbem::yabbem::yabbem:

I could not fix and I do not have equipment for! I just receive it!

Re: Never buy O-like !!

DAMN !!!! that really sucks BIGTIME , add some good pix and I'm sure we can help you to fix this shitty problem

Re: Never buy O-like !!

I have never had any problems with o-like. They have good and working support, so before flaming in here telling people not to buy from them you should contact o-like and handle it in the proper way. You just received your laser so I guess you did not contact them about it?! If that fails, well cross that bridge when you get there! It might be something trivial, or maybe something you did. Anyway contact o-like.

EDIT: If the spring is the only problem then that is easy to fix so the laser will still be in good working order. You Can send it back for o-like to fix or replace. Or diy the fix. Either way o-like is still a good seller of "better" chinese quality

That is a nice looking host. The spring just needs to be soldered back on to the driver. I say just but of course this will be hard if you dont have the tools for it :-( if a member lives near you then maybe that person could fix it for you. Worst case you have to send it back for a replacement or fix. I hope you can find a solution fast so you can use that beauty again ;-)

Best regards

You should Contact them first, you have the pictures to show and tell, just so they formally know it is being returned.

Thanks i think i will send it back to o-like

Make sure to send it with tracking... and you may want to insure it as well.

I had to send back the old style torch to them, they claimed to not have gotten it for two weeks after it was signed for. Only once I threatened to file a claim did they magically "find" it.

Needless to say I haven't ordered from o-like since.

If you want a nice green laser, go with jetlasers.

If the spring DESOLDERED itself there seems to be another bigger problem than just the loosen spring ;)
It seems that sending back is the best option here
And IE is right...tracking and insurance is a must shipping to china!

I doubt the spring actually desoldered... I suspect the problem has more to do with just a lousy solder job in the first place... the pressure simply broke the very little bit of solder that was there. I've been in happen on 3 lasers so far... just very shoddy work, nothing more.

I wouldn't attempt to re-solder it... if something does go wrong, or the laser is seriously underspec, they certainly will not replace it... after an attempt to fix is made. At most they will ask for payment to ship the broken laser back out:(

Don't try to fix it yourself. Most probably that you can't do it. Also what InfinitusEquitas says is correct: "if something does go wrong, or the laser is seriously underspec, they certainly will not replace it... after an attempt to fix is made".

The only solution for this issue is to immediately contact Susie at O-like. She will probably tell you to return it and provide you with a returning address.

Before you send it back to China, please refer to these tips (post#18).

You don't need a Chinese customs decleration form. Use the form that is in use in the post office in your country.

My advice for you is to go to the post office near you and get some forms, then prepare the package at home and fill in the form calmly in you house and only when everything is set and done, go and mail it.

Honestly, i really wouldn't knock o-like for this its just a bit solder, you really don't need to send it back, just take it somewhere local to be fixed if you cant solder it back on yourself.

But yeah, the only issue is if you do that and something else goes wrong they might not take it back after a homefix has been made... I'd just solder it back on myself it would be really really simple <- just sayin what id personally do... its your choice i guess :)

Hope you get it fixed soon
