Hey everyone. I figured here would be the best place to make the announcement. So here it is!

My BlitzBuck V1 drivers are up for sale! They can take between 6.6 and 16Vin and can easily handle at least 1.8A output! Efficiency isn't too high right now (right between 75-80% for most 445nm applications) but they are at a pretty cheap price right now.

So head on over there and check 'em out. There'll be more efficient and better versions soon if these sell well :D

(Just so you know - these are 9mm by 12mm in size. The same as the Flex!)
 





Does anyone know if cajun lasers has a 10% off code for us members? I should just try lpf10 that usually works!
 
I really wish that people who have these Web Sites would have a Category of SAFETY ITEMS - I did find the goggles eventually under Accessories :(

Is $20 for a driver a good price?

Yeah, it's actually a pretty good price. He isn't making a huge profit margin off of 'em.
 
Will these come in more varied outputs pre-assembled? I'm specifically looking for around 1.35 and 1.6 A. I feel 1.1 and 1.7 is a little too low and a little too high respectively for 445nm diodes..

And would these require heatsinking at those settings?

Tbh, you don't really need to heatsink a buck driver but it'll of course help if you do :)
 
Err, Ryan, how much do you know about buck drivers...?

Anyway, Grix, there will be more varied versions in the future. However, I would almost guarantee that all 445s can handle 1.7A. I've never seen one fail below 1.8A.

And regarding heatsinking... these can go a few minutes without it, but it's helpful for efficiency if you keep them cool.

It's not for me, it's for lasers I sell to potentially careless/ignorant customers, so I need very conservative settings. They won't be heatsinked to oblivion either, just a regular C6 kits.

Do you have an approximate ETA until more options will be available? Are we talking many months from now?
