Having received my 2.4+w 445nm from Blord (Belgium to US in 4 days), I quickly decided I needed a Beam Trap. Its more fun to make one than buy one, so here I go!
Pict. 1) 10 Razor Blades, painted with Black High Heat BBQ Spray. Aluminum cutouts will be inserted between the blades due to the blade design having a hole smack dab in the middle of the blade.
Pict. 2) A 1 1/2 x 3/4 inch Copper Reducer, inside painted w/ same High Heat Spray.
Pict. 3 & 4) A 1 1/2 End Cap, painted inside, 10 razor blades fitted in perfectly in a row. It's so dark in there you can't even see the 10 blades even in a lit room with the camera flash on.
Pict. 5) Completed product. No glue, solder or anything else needed, everything fits together.
Thoughts? Concerns? Feedback welcome!
