nope these are not old DPSS module, these are 13mm 70mW modules for pointers.

Is it possible to unscrew off that casing so that it measures 12mm? it looks as if it comes off

The heatsinks I had were for 12mm

umm I see, sorry but there is no way you could make this 12mm, but you could modify you're heat sink to house a 13mm module.
