I've finally finished my Arctic CAD file, it is dimensionally accurate to within 2-3 thou, the only problem is I only have outside dimensions and some very (very) rough inside dimensions. I don't have any thread info (I don't have a metric thread gauge)

It still might help someone though, so I'm offering it to anyone that wants it. I did not include the retarded tail interlock thing, but everything else is there.

PM me if you want the file, it was done in Solidworks 2010 so I can export to most any format.

"Firestorm" (supposedly Steve from WL) has contacted me asking that I remove this "drawing" from the forum.

Ha.

Ha.

Tell him you'll remove it as soon as they have delivered all of their Arctics :). That should buy you at least a year lol.

the way i get inside dimensions on some of my things is i fill them with plastic cling wrap and pour in some set stone.
Also make sure to put a string with knots in it that way if you have to you can break the stone up a bit to pull it out without losing all the inner dimensions.

Its not like the Chinese don't copy anything of anyone else's...

This isn't even a copy, you've simply created a "to scale" size reference for others,

AND you're not making money off of it.

Can they even do anything about it?
It doesn't say anything on it to do with WL, so leave it up!:D

It is pretty funny. If anyone gets around to creating an Arctic style host, I'd sure be interested in buying one :).

hold it as a ransom.....demand a free laser hahah..
does this mean you can machine your own arctic now?

Nice model. I'm taking a college class on SolidWorks/CAD. I could probably learn the software by myself, but a class could always help. And plus, it transfers, so it's an easy 3 credits.

Anyway, Id like to build hosts and get them machined. Not quite sure how to go about that though.

Thanks for sharing this nice model.
Please offer us a link where to download it :yh:
