Anything about extraterrestrial life

Has anyone else seen the movie Arrival? It just came out in late 2016 and talks about alien life coming toward Earth! Alaskan, this is for you! :)

Cool, I'll have to check it out at some point. It seems my type of thing to watch. :) The amount of times I watch Independence Day for the fun of it. :D

saw it a few weeks ago and it was one of the best films I have seen in years. Definitely one to go see. Alaskan I thought of you while watching it. It was nice to see a non hollywood blockbuster action thriller on the topic of alien contact. I still think we will have confirmed contact in my lifetime. Lets hope they're friendly lol.

I want to see it, I've had a difficult time connecting on the net some days, depending on where I am. In the not too distant future I am going into the dragons throat, so won't be online at all while out there. Don't ask me where.

Edit: Just watched movie, excellent :)

I still need to watch it. I hope we do make established contact with another race in our lifetime as well. Once and for all the debate about life in the universe will be over. Can't wait unless their hostile of course.

You can watch it online through Amazon.com - My internet is often too slow to watch a movie, but last night it worked great. I am so tired of the mainstream denying we have already had contact, it's just ignorance, all anyone has to do is start researching this themselves and they will loose all doubt they have been and are continuing to come here. Thing is, too many folk buy into common core beliefs which deny such.

Thanks Alaskan. Internet isn't exactly fast where I am at right now either. :p

I know, this is why I want irrefutable proof. Something people, no matter how ignorant can not deny. Unfortunately, a lot of people need to experience something for themselves before they accept it. And others will believe the wrong thing despite being blatantly wrong. For example, flat-earthers.
 
I saw Arrival in theaters, It was ok, I didnt think it was that amazing. Pretty boring and slow moving. Ending was kind of neat, but the movie took forever to get moving. Id say 5/10

I felt the same about it. I wasn't expecting independence day or anything, but that movie could have really used a bit more action. I appreciated it for what it was, but I can't imagine ever wanting to sit through it again. I'd give it more of a 7-8 out of 10 rating just for breaking the 'traditional alien movie' mold. It covered the realistic communication problems we'd having if aliens did make contact with us.
 
I'll probably watch it tomorrow - i downloaded it but didnt get around to it sooner.

Too bad the reviews so far are not that good, but i'll give it a chance regardless ;)
