I am continuing the home-made capacitor experiment. As Cyp pointed out, the laminates between the conductive plates have a resistance. Even though I estimate the mylar to be about 500 G ohm, this adds up quick with parallel layers. I am attempting to use a coat of red glypt on the plates. I will let you guys know how it goes.
