Your welcome and thank you for the + rep.
To use the thermal paste, smear a very thin coat on the Aixis before you press it into the heat-sink. This helps transfer heat more efficiently between the two. It will also help the Aixis slide into the H/S easier. You need very little, as most of it will be wiped off when you press it in.
Coat the whole Aixis with a dab way smaller then a BB.
Let me know the length and the diameter you want your heat-sink to be. Don't forget to allow room for the wires running out the back of the Aixis, when measuring length.
These measurements need to be exact, to fit into whatever host you are going to use. The OD (outside diameter) of the heat-sink can be a few thousands smaller then the host's body. You can always glue it into place.
but it can not be any larger, or it won't fit.
Measure carefully and let me know what the dimensions are.
I will have some time Sunday, to make it, and will ship it Mon.
PM me your address and I'll PM you back with my PayPal address.
I hope this helps you out and you end up with a AWESOME laser.
Thank you very much.Sorry for going off topic, but I've always found it awesome how you colorize your posts.
Thank you very much.
It's a through-back to my Hippie days, I think.
Plain white always seems boring to me.
(yes, I had a VW Bus W/ "the" paint job)
+1 for the compliment.:thanks:
