3w+ 445nm problem?

Just got my laser in today and here is a couple

Anyone know what the issue could be?

Something funky going on there, looks like light is getting reflected off the lens then again reflected back through the lens. Your first step in troubleshooting that is to clean the lens and inspect the diode window then report back. GL

I sold him the laser. I didn't remember it has a pronounced artefact around the dot.
Can you turn the focus adapter and see if the artefact is also turning ?
