how many mA's do you recomment to drive my 20x LOC diode?
i get the diode from hightechdealz.
:thanks:

i set one at 460 mA for 1 year, no problem, im now at 500 and 530 mA, no problem if you have good heatsink.
Im talking about lpc815 diode
i suggest u to read some stickies it will help u

Minimum value: 440mA
Maximum recommended value: 600mA

This is according my experience based on the use of a TEC as temperature control and using only LG GSA - XXX diodes.

Greetings

Hey um i have been hearing a lot about these LPC815 diodes i have searched many times and i cant find them who sells them

LOL I try to teach him to search before asking and you guys give all the answers away! :p

It makes NooBs feel good to show other NooBs that they are smart. ;)

It is harder to teach than it is to report.

Peace,
dave

After seeing recommendations of up to 600mA I had to fill him in on what we usually run these at...I usually try not to be the spoiler :D

I wonder how many mW an LPC diode would put out with 600mA of current running through it:thinking:

Oh Wait! :D

I know

It would put out 3mW of LED light

Peace,
dave

If not 0 :p Or 1000kCal of pure fire :D!

All of the OP's lasers are hand helds. Also, you didn't leave it there did ya, Jay?

Peace,
dave

No no...

I just wanted to see what power it put out at that current... I have it at 450mA's now. I personally consider this pushing them a little hard these days. But with TEC, I figure it may be alright. I have my Kryton red at 450ish as well, becase of the direct press design...
