200mW dx laser

I'm planning to buy this laser:
200mW 532nm Green Laser Module (3V 11.9mm) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme

Does anyone know if it will really be 200mW and if this price is good for a 200mW green laser?

Also, do I also need to buy a IR laser goggle?

styropyro used that module in one of his lasers. He averaged that DX's 200mW modules average around 100mW-150mW.

Yes goggles are an absolute must!!! "200mW" is more then enough to fry your eyes, below are some quality goggles:

But are IR goggles necessary for this laser? I heard green lasers can emit a lot of infra-red

yes cheap lasers dont have IR filter so you should use goggles that protect the IR wavelength if you care about your eyes.

get these and protect against both 532nm and 808 nm IR that emits form a DPSS green laser -- especially if you plan to get more powerful 532nm lasers
