Micro Boost and LOC 815 diode

Groove requires vout+1.2. This puts the requirement for a red around 6.6v minimum. This would still require 2 cr123 batteries same as a rckstr.

Micro Boost and LOC 815 diode

A diode can be added to drop voltage on a linear driver. I'm not sure how it would effect a microboost though.

Micro Boost and LOC 815 diode

No, you're right. Microboost cannot be used on red builds.

Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits pens

No, you need a groove or a rckstr. If you want to drive a red with a single rechargeable, the flexdrive is the only option that I know of.

    Making Case for Lasers

Use Seahorse cases on the cheap. Very close to Pelican quality without the Pelican price. I use these for everything from electronic enclosures to my RC radio case. For my lasers, I use this model. Seahorse SE-120 Waterproof Case or Seahorse SE-300 Waterproof Case The se300 is nice if you have...

Dummy load with rkcstr reading 4.4v?

Dammit! I found the problem after building a second test load. While the packet of 1ohm resistors is labeled as 1ohm 1W, I never checked the colored bands. BROWN BLACK GREEN GOLD. Yeah, that's right, 1 M Ohm! &*^%^*(^ They sent me mislabeled resistors.

Dummy load with rkcstr reading 4.4v?

I setup my rkcstr v3 with 2 cr123a batteries. Hook it up to the dummy load (4 diodes and 1ohm 1W resistor) and power it on. For some reason, I'm getting 4.4v across the 1ohm resistor. Turning the pot doesn't change the reading at all. Any clue what I may have done wrong or where to look? Edit...

    Electronics Tips

Think of ohms law as a pyramid v i r Cover up the letter you are looking for, and the remaining letters show the equation to use. If you need V, look at the pyramid, it's shows I*R. Need I? Look at the pyramid, it's V/R. Need R? V/I

If he steals your avatar and pchops the laser into a 405, I will piss myself laughing.

    Ebay $9 blu-ray pens: GREAT!

My lasers arrived a week ago and I've been playing with them. The green sucks. Maybe I got a bad one. The 405 beam is visibly brighter in a dark room or outdoors. However, the 405 is great. Well worth the purchase price.

    Sh#t's hit the fan.

Would that mean that lasers don't blind people, that people blind people?

    Sh#t's hit the fan.

Information being withheld for the good of the public is what leads to tyrannical governments. Information is not the privilege for the elite or those that believe they are somehow special. Information wants to be free.

    Ebay feedback. Not here.

    Ebay $9 blu-ray pens: GREAT!

There's already a few neutral and negative feedback for the seller claiming the lasers didn't last long. I'm not sure how much more you can squeeze out of them. Seems they already have a short lifespan.

    Ebay $9 blu-ray pens: GREAT!

I was thinking about pick up the 10 and 20 packs. Going to a firework convention next month, and I know my crew would eat these things up. Be careful and check the shipping. The shipping on the 10 pack is only $20. Factor that in and they are $4.60 each. While the price on the 20 pack is much...

    Nintendo zapper

The trigger on this host will need some work. The zapper guns don't use "always on" triggers. When you press it, it presses an internal button then springs back. The internal mechanism prevents an "always on". It will be interesting how you resolve this issue.
