a cr123(16340) battery is 1/2 the size of an 18350. Therefore, you can use 2 cr123s for twice the output voltage. Although, if you have an extension tube for the c6, you can use 2 18350s for longer...
Yes, the reflector is in the. I'll try and take or apart when I have time. Hopefully its threaded somehow. As for the batteri, what driver would you recommend using for a current of 1.6A and the voltage of 3 10440 batteries?
Here's the flashlight:
My friend wanted me to play with it and see if I could use it as a host. On circle 1, I cannot split this section apart, so I am not sure how I will fit a heatsink in there. On circle 2, it shows that it uses a barrel of 3 AAA batteries. I'll probably need to measure...
Hmmm... so if it were a boost driver, it would draw the required voltage from a single battery, correct? I know this diode needs a higher Vf than a 445nm M140 diode, so I might just go ahead and get the ben boost driver or a microboost(what are the dif's anyways?)
Thanks everyone! This is a...
Hmmm, I was planning to use a S06J Diode @ ~420mA but here are the testing results

Would it be okay for me to use this driver from DX: 5-Mode LED Driver Circuit Board for Flashlight (DC 0.9~4.2V) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme
in my next 405nm build @ 420mA?
2 reasons:
It's super cheap
It has 5 modes which I find nice:)
I was planning to use this driver instead of a boost...
Yea, good luck with the build though! Hopefully there will be an efficient diode for you by that time. 750mA will fry most blu-ray diodes at the moment :P
Re: DTR's Laser Shop: 445 M140 Diodes $45 Shipped US Diodes-Drivers-Lenses-LEDs & M
I got my diode last week, but I was finally able to use it today.
All I have to say is WOW! Thank you for the great quality and super fast shipping! I am enjoying it in my build right now :D If anyone is...
Haha thanks! And nice! What diode are you gonna use? I'm guessing DTR's S06J driven at ?A with a g1/2 lens? Haha. I want to build a stronger 405nm without burning out the diode:P
Haha, good luck with your build! My next build will be a 600mW 405nm:) With this host and a copper heatsink, I still cycle it with 60 sec on/60 sec off just to be safe. So far, this laser runs like a beast.
