Mrcrouse is the man to go to. This sounds interesting. so you'd have a bio-metric piece of glass on the laser in which you'd place your finger on to activate?
Would definitely help tremendously if you showed the lpm reading in a completely different direction of your "6w" laser. As you know the intense brightness distorts the view of the power reading.

I dont have the money but if you were to be interested in a pyrotronics 1.3W 445nm build pretty much brand new as in 4 months old with less then 5 hours use on it and literally no cosmetic defects as I carry it around it a camera bag wrapped in microfiber clothes...
