I have an X-125 rated at 140 mW average and have found that, one it really depends on the match, and two balloon popping is all about steadiness and distance. I don't think theres anything wrong, you may be expecting 100 mW performance out of a 75 mW laser, and those 25 mWs make a big difference.

I was so pleased with my X-125 that I ordered an X-50 as a gift for a friend. I couldn't believe the specs when I got it, 79.9 mW peak and 74.5 mW average.

I just ordered two DX lasers, one for my father as a birthday gift and the other for me to help keep my nova in good condition. I didn't pay for upgraded shipping, there was no rush, so I was charged a penny for handling. Now I get a bill from UPS for $5.67 (US), now its not a lot of money, but...

Re: Got my X-125, question for other owners though Thats roughly what my 125 looks like with a desk lamp on in the middle of the night. And again, its quite hard to get a match to go up at over six inches, and at a foot its effects on electrical tape are nominal at best.
