Actually it's very much possible. The light will move at c out of the laser then interact with dust and move towards the camera, again at c. Both of these things take a tiny amount of time. Imagine a virtual triangle made by you at one point with the camera and the laser emitting at the other...

Yay, I got my L-B030 (large one) today. It's a great laser, it gives the KD 50mW a run for its money. Certainly not as powerful but very very stable output and very good construction. It has two springs for the battery terminals and the switch is fixed in the tailcap so you don't have to worry...

You want highest specific heat capacity and conductivity, bottom line. Lucky for us, these two properties are intricately linked. More mass is not necessarily a good thing (although more density can be). Basically, you're free to choose whatever as long as it maximises those two properties...

This seems to suffer from the same problem as the KD50 - the driver is freely suspended and hence pressure will be placed on the diode & its legs: Now I was going to get the torch style for an extra $35 but this looks enticing.

Yes, the PCB becomes hot as do some of the components (voltage/current regulator especially). As for the entire laser, it doesn't get hot for a good 5 minutes.

It's impossible to pop a perfect white balloon using any wavelength in the visible spectrum... Of course, that's a "perfect" balloon.

The eye is most sensitive to a certain wavelength of green, not blue. The actual sensitivity peaks at around 507nm, somewhere between bue and green but more green.
