...The "Beamshot Room" :

Lazerman121 had an idea to line up as many unique lasers as we could in a room and take some shots. It attracted a crowd...

Qumefox and (Please get me your name!) set up part of the beamshot room...

Multiline Argon Ion through diffraction grating, 445, SamG's 544 and 594 HeNes, 405, 532, my 635, and Lazerman121's vintage Spectra Physics HeNe.

Taking pictures of people taking pictures of the beamshot room... Watch your crotch there, sir?

Another angle, thanks to Hak's 445s and some mirrors...

... that's it for now.. A few more to come as I sort them but... after driving 27 hours there and 27 hours back, really, meeting the folks made it worthwhile. Hope to see more folks next year!

Awesome!
Thanks for posting these fine pics...i think next year there are alot more visitors now ;)

That Lexel mixed gas laser really looks short, what type is it? I have a Lexel 85 but it's longer than that (and still my shortest argon).

I forgot how good looking I actually am

Thanks for posting these. SELEM was a blast

I have been to several LEM's now, on both coasts.

EVERY one of them has been worth the trip

Peace,
dave

Thanks for putting up some pics of the event!
I wish I could have been there, but alas work kept me from fun once again:whistle:

......and yes Dave, you are quite the looker;)

Good job on the pics. Thanks for sharing with some of us that
couldn't make it there...

I want to say it was a Lexel 75.

I had a Lexel 88 about 20 years ago (!) but my dad threw it in the trash! :scowl: Something I luckily don't have to worry about any longer, but I do miss that laser!

Some amazing pictures there, must have been incredible to see in person.

Makes me regret not going:(

On the other hand, where are the women and the booze?:na:

(Just kidding :o:p)

I haven't spotted a pointer in the pictures yet. Projectors and big lasers have a far lower chance of giving surprises than a pointer. I would wear them when aligning a grating or if anything that could reflect could get in the beam. Admiring a beam from a laser solid on a table without laser safety eyewear isn't really dangerous when done correctly.

Seeing these pictures makes me wish I would have gone.

Great photos!
