how many green lasers do you have? and do you think they are the best wave length/color? *I'm curious on what most people think about them like if they're cheap or awesome*

1...2....3...4...

4!

I think 593.5 (Thanks glenn :) ) nm is the best color. However, it is very expensive for 1mw, it is about $300. Green is an alright color, although I am more intrigued by 405nm and the tricks you can do with it :)

^^ 594.1nm ? I can get nice 593.5nm pointers from CNI or 589nm as well, but where do you get a low cost 594.1nm?
BTW, I have about 28 green lasers atm... I sold a few. ;) -Glenn

ugh.
I just saw a thread titles "FS: 594nm [something or other]" And 594.1 came to mind. I looked back in the thread and it is labled as 593.5.

Still learning the ropes here.

Two. But I'm not that progressed into the hobby yet... it's only been almost 2 months for me.

(1) LaserGlow Lyra 5mw.
(2) Gatlin 200mw.

So far I only have red and green lasers (including a red that is probably ~380mw or so).

Over the next couple of months I anticipate getting a 405 (~600mw or so) and a 445 (~1W+).

"Best wavelength/color" = ? The greens are best for admiring the beams. I anticipate that the 405 I will get will be my best overall *practical* "burner", but it won't be very visible (I wouldn't consider the 445 all that safe for close-range burning).

I don't know about 445 yet (from experience), technically even a 1W blue will NOT be as bright "looking" as my 200mw green, but it MIGHT "Look more WOW!" outside at night.

Expense; I paid more than I had to for both of my greens, but I don't really regret it. It's just that I COULD HAVE found cheaper 532s.

me niether i use to have a 200mw red dx one but it got lost 2 times then broke mostly because i had it for like 5 years.

445 and 405 aside, I use the green lasers the most and I do love em, just the best night time beams imho... -GH

I have a few, I think the best GREEN wavelength is 514nm, but the best overall is 593.5 or 589. I am looking for either color, I thought I had 593 in my sig too... forgot it and just put 589 :(

EDIT: Dang! I forgot 473 too! :(

I have four green lasers

50mW O-Like pen
5mW Dealextreme
30mW Focalprice Keychain
10mW Dealextreme Module

I have one Green (GOOD laser) that replaces my other two greens ^^

*Dragonlasers hulk ultra 400 (wich i HATE!) (To much money for tem01 beam)
-Comes in carton box with some bubble wrap.

*CHeap chinese laser (lpm measured 50 / 75 mw) (pronounced as 200mw) (with Funny misprinted warning label sticker) (Atleast it's focusable and tem00)
-(Sticker reads ''Laser radiation avoid driect eye exposure''
-Comes in the classic white box with magnetic clip and gold letters ''Green laserpointer'' ontop

*And my lovely....

Hercules 650  (costs allot but you get what you payed for, and some more)
AVG power 711 mw.
-Nice alluminium case shipped in a sturdy carton box.
-Free goggles

So that makes 3.

Green is the most affordable and visable color you can get in a laserpointer (handheld etc..)
Atleast for range that is.

greetz..
