I have a great update for this host. I there is a higher capacity battery that fits like a glove.:D It is a 22600 2500mAh battery. The real great thing with this battery is that it takes no modification of the host to make it fit. Here are some shots and a video of the unit I built tonight with this battery.:D

lol yeah definitely not what i had planned.
However, I'm only spending about 10% as much time in the basement working as i was....
If only I had went to college when i was 18.....i would already be done with my education and would be well into my career, and i could spend as much time with lasers as i wanted!

I like these because they are relatively easy to make.....is only i could find aluminum stock that came in 1.09" OD...the majority of the time is spent turn down the 1.12" OD stock to 1.09"

I had also thought of trying molds.... if i could just pour molten aluminum into molds that were the correct length and OD, and just drill the center hole and set screws....

i know they have molds for making your own fish weights.....i've been searching for someone where i can have molds made. even if it only cast 1 at a time it would still be faster than what i do now.....just have it 1.09" OD x .6" long, then i could just cast it, sand it down. Would save a LOT of time.

I'm also in the market for an LPC-815 sled and a flex drive.

If anyone has either and wants to trade, let me know. I accidentally dropped my 445nm diode into a waist high pile of aluminum shavings......can't find it......

So i'm just going to replace it with a red build. I like red better anyways.
