There is not a big enough facepalm for that post. You didnt notice the little red lines under the words? She is an adult, not a forum kitty. If you want adults to take you seriously, proper grammar is a must.
 





What Kiyoukan is saying is: you guys better be damn sure this is "the guy" before you bring the wrath of the Internet Hate Machine upon him. If this guy is not, and he's just some schmuck that the real scammer has used as a false identity, you're going to make life hell for an innocent person, and the scammer is going to laugh himself to the bank.

Kiyoukan also mentions the mistake of discussing this publicly. There is a hazard to doing this. It is like the police releasing the name and whereabouts of only a suspected person. We don't want any vigilantism before facts are confirmed. Plus, by discussing this publicly, you're tipping your hand to your enemy. Already, there are reports that this "Biddar" has been cleaning up his online trail in response to these investigative actions. Good detective work operates from the shadows so you can strike without warning and with ample evidence to back you up. You also don't want any stray threats, no matter how benign the intention, from coming up in any court case. Keep it legal and keep it safe.
 
Thanks Bionic Badger, You said what i wanted to in a much better way. I have lots of words and thoughts but i am not the greatest at communicating them the same way i think them.
 
It is a good point Bionic Badger, but as previously stated we are indeed sure of this. The same guy who wrote on this forum and scammed Rob has been showing his laser on facebook and several other accounts linked to him. He is actively talking to his friends from these accounts, which are also linked to his family and parents.
Unless an identity thief has taken over every single one of his accounts and somehow managed to keep him, his friends and family from finding out for 3 months despite constant updates about what he is doing, then he is the same person who scammed Rob.

As to showing the information we have, I believe the point was to let him know how easy it would be to contact him and anyone close to him and report him to the authorities. The point was to let him get off lightly by making him realise he was in trouble so he would just send Rob what he owes him and then get out of this mess.
Obviously he has chosen otherwise.. so now we will have to put the information we have to use to contact his parents and possibly the authorities.

We did keep most of the investigation secret until we had enough evidence and information, and several of us have everything about him logged, including copies of the videos from his youtube channel, lists of his friends, copies of his posts here and on facebook.. etc, etc.

I agree that any harassment or Rambo action like from Stuart should be avoided.. that will not solve the case and only weakens Rob's.

Yeah BB...

a lot of stuff was happening in the background yesterday...
and I concur with everything that SpikeD posted above...

We gave him a chance to make good and make this go away..
and chose to thumb his nose at the offer... He made his bed...

We have the Address the Laser was sent to... and all other
info was gathered legally on the net starting with that and the
pictures he himself posted here and on the Net...

But I do understand what you are saying about perhaps going
too far...
As far as I know... the only thing that has been physically done
to this point was hitting keys on a keyboard...
Granted the internet reaches far and wide....

Folks, don't do something he can charge you back with!!

IIRC, some time ago, some punk was robbering somebody's house while owner was asleep. When the owner woke up - guess what happened.

Aftermath was a big lump in robberers head from a well placed crowbar hit (IIRC again).

Punk actually sued the owner for physical injury, and won the case.

Imagine, you get robbed, AND charged guilty for trying to stop the robbery in the first place.


DO not do something he can use against you. Otherwise, Rob will suffer your mistakes. We don't want that.

Had a very bad lawyer or was just too stupid to know how to exercise his rights and still protect himself

You cannot shoot a simple thief. :tsk:

You can shoot someone who you honestly believe was preparing to do you (or some other innocent) serious bodily harm :whistle:

Of course you have to make sure that the thief was not running away from you at the time :banned:

I dunno man, just saying! I know I've heard a controversy of that story some time ago, not sure about specific details (crowbar /baseball bat, any other blunt weapon), but I do know that he attacked and injured the robberer BEFORE calling the police, and it was later used against him in the court of law.

So, let's just all chill out and let the Fraud Prevention system do its thing - with our help, ofcourse, and when the punk is nailed, then we'll all treat Rob a :beer:

But not before things are resolved. Cannot simply blow open the door and beat $300 out of a kid. In that case, we are the ones that are guilty.

And that would be bad.

Here, things are also worse ..... if you want to claim it's self defense, must before find you in concrete danger, AND must react with "proportionall force" ..... and, worse of all, is the judge that decide if your reaction was proportioned or not :p

Just as example (it was on TV too) ..... a jeweler had a robbery in his own shop, and the robbers shooted him, then the jeweler took a gun and replied to the fire, but the thief was turning away and the bullet hit him and killed him ..... cause the buttet not hit him in front, the jeweler was accused of volunteer murder :p ..... good thing, the self-defense laws in Italy :p

EDT: i mean, basically, that if i see someone shooting to some innocents or kids, and i shoot him and kill him, i become charged for volunteer murder :p

Rob, I feel for you buddy, only the lowest of the earths scum would rip off anyone who is struggling to get by.

Although in my book, ANYONE who is a liar or thief does not deserve to consume the same oxygen that the rest of us use.

In the end, Integrity is the more valuable than any other attribute of a persons physiological makeup, If there is no integrity, then nothing else matters one bit.

Hopefully he will get attacked by a rabid bear or more fitting, mugged on his way home from shoplifting at k-mart.
