hi people... i've decided to buy a ~400mW laser and here are my final 3 choices:

1) Pioneer Series 532nm 350mW - 400mW Green Laser Pointer
¤¤350mW - 400mW Green Laser Pointer Pioneer Series,$779.89,Freak Lasers

2) RF532-300mW-FMK(IR filtered)
www.rayfoss.com

3) Volunteer Series 532nm 350mW Green Laser Pointer
?350mW Green Lasers,Green Laser Pointer 350mW,Only $799.99,Freak Lasers

now my questions: (plz answer as many as possible)

1. is #1 a JETLASER even though it's called PIONEER

2. is #2 a JETLASER even though it's called 300mW-FMK from Rayfoss

3. is #3 a CNI even though it's called VOLUNTEER?

4. what would you personally get? #1, #2, or #3?

5. #1 vs #3 which is more powerful?

6. is #1 worth the extra money than #2? $540 vs $799 for extra ~100mW?

7. what do you think about the company FREAKLASERS and its price range?

Thanks ppl for your help :yh:

I just ordered a 400mW through the CNI Group Buy (see group buy forum). It's $735 incl. fees and shipping (to put the prices in perspective). I haven't dealt with freaklasers, but I don't see them on the CNI distributors page, so I'm not certain if it is a real CNI. From what I've heard, RayFoss is a great place to buy from, with great customer service.

Personally, of those three I would order from RayFoss. If you are going to spend $600-$800, order from CNI or one of their distributors.

Isn't Freaklasers a company we're supposed to avoid? Correct me if I'm wrong.
Even if it's not CNI will still be much better! If your gonna spend that kinda money get something quality from CNI! Go to the group buys section, if you haven't already, and check them out.

i dunno ive never heard of freaklasers, but kevinmassey is right, for that kind of money you should be buying from somewhere with good quality lasers

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, go with CNI. Their units are always in-spec, if not over it by a wide margin, in one case, 300mW's overspec. There's no guarantee that yours would be this strong, but there's no guarantee that it won't. Additionally, all of the lasers are tested on Glenn's (scopeguy20, the organizer of the Group Buys from CNI) personal meter before being shipped out to you, and if it's underspec, he'll assist in the replacing of the laser from CNI.

IMHO, I would go with the CNI GB. Your going to get legit quality and amazing divergence and beam diameter. Plus the CNI hosts are top quality and are "true green" with very little to no IR.

That's fine, you can order pretty much any product CNI makes through him, you just have to let him know which you want. I suggest checking out the model type on cni's site beforehand so you can pick the one you prefer.

he's not responding the PM :can: do u know if he usually has them in stock and where does he ship from?

He's probably just out. He doesn't have them instock himself, he gathers up money from everyone who wants to buy and places the order with CNI, it's cheaper to order them all together.
