What diode and driver are you using. The heat sink is not really doing anything with the module sticking out like that.

I have the module like that so it could be easy to focus. I got the driver from o-like.

I'm thinking that the module is somehow in the reflector... It's not glued in there is it?
also what is the reason for the use of that masking tape? just asking thats all

What diode? There is quite a price difference between them. At 150mW a heat sink is a must. It looks like you glued it in the reflector.

this is just few Mw less than yours and 120$ less expensive than yours - the casing, - the shipping and - the extra mw i say 80$ dollars too much but that is just my opinion!

That laser is 90mw thats not just a few mw less. And its not even in a host.

The module is glued into the reflector with a special kind of glue that absorbs heat and its impossible to unglue it. I made this laser about a week ago and i have tested it, it works fine and doesn't get at all hot.
