This violet diode is better than BDR-209 and S06J. However, the beam quality is lower than that of a single mode diode.
Point size is also larger than single mode. i like this multi violet Power consumption is low and lifetime is good

This is 414nm. a wavelength higher than S06J 900mw

I recommend R200 Chinese driver or SXD driver 1amp. My driver is R200 chinese driver 930ma ~ 1A.

GH04W10A2GC diode. 1.3w 414nm with G7 lens my build. 5sec use 10sec rest.

That is a nice output , but the run time is a bit low. I am using the same diode. My run time is continuous, as my diode outputs 800mW from 520 mA. I am going to try 610 mA at some point though.

The above price is pushed higher, this diode I have seen since 2016 and when I bought them for 25 usd ,
Nobody seems to notice it until some members here build great laser,And the actual datasheet is dishonest ,it isn't real datasheet

Decent Chinese Driver

I've been experimenting with this driver quite a bit: The output current is controllable by adding or removing resistance at this point. It comes with an R200 resistor. I've removed it on one and simply bridged it with solder and got 4.5 amps out of the driver with 8.4 volts. It got hot...

I bought this last year I ordered it with 2W output, but I could not be satisfied with NDB7675.
BUT!!!!. I left one R200! this is suitable for 405nm

Sorry for the necro - is this the same diode as the 16X BDR-209s? The BDR was supposedly SM though I've never seen an SM at more than few hundred mW. Cheers LPF

edit: whoops the BDR sample I have is a 3.8 not a 5.6.. mystery deepens.

edit2: Apparently the BDR-209 is a non-public Nichia.. good luck getting them unmolested, sourcing from Nichia is a nightmare. Looks same as NDV4642/4542 etc

i like BDR-209 single watt output violet. however It dies easily. I have been waiting for Sharp 1.5w Violet for several years
