Quality keychain laser pointer

Hello,
I am looking for a high-quality, *small*, keychain laser pointer.

I am NOT looking for a very bright pointer. I care more about battery life.

Batteries should be small button type or perhaps AAA.

I just bought cheap one from eBay and it's crap. I googled, looked on eBay, used the search function here, but so far haven't found anything good.

Thanks.

So few members want to post in the welcome section as a start, but I don't think I did either.

Apologies if I violated some forum rules.

Might do a welcome post later. Just kind of in a hurry now...

Welcome,

Sanwu carries some small pointers they call the pocket series, which are small but not specifically for a keychain. If you are willing, there are threads on building high quality keychain pointers, use the search bar st the bottom of the page. I am not aware of any high quality keychain pointers that are commercially available. Your best bet is to build one, or ask one of this forum’s builders to custom make you one.

Good luck

If you want quality, try LaserGlow, you can buy them at under 5 mw output and they are very good but not key chain, have you looked on ebay to see what they offer for small key chain pointers? Although I doubt you will find the kind of quality Laserglow has, anyone know where to get a key chain laser which isn't junk?

What is the urgency...
Is someone's life in danger....
We don't even know where on the globe
you live (No Welcome Thread).
Perhaps in your country Lasers with powers
of greater than 1mW are not allowed so we
can't really advise you.

What is your geographic location ?

You are responsible for knowing your Countries/local laws and being in compliance.

Make sure to use proper eye protection when working with lasers.

Welcome to LPF, Dude!

Take a look at Jayrobs offerings, he has an advertisement at the bottom of the home page, he has a few keychain styles. :yh:

Edit: You can also check out his DIY kits -HERE-

Hi,
A key chain laser is all over the internet and very cheap. really cheap. And they will be between 1 and 5 mW safe zone ..

Rich:)

Welcome to the LPF. I don't have a key chain laser link for you as I don't want one. Stay safe and enjoy your stay here.

I think you are right. However, I did purchase a quality keychain laser pointer a few years ago (stainless steel, quite well-built). After many years in my pocket, it died.

I live in California. I have updated my profile.

Again, I am not after powerful laser pointers.

Maybe I didn't look in the right places. What I found is cheap stuff. I ordered one on eBay for $4 one and it's crap, as I expected.

Thank you. Those are nice. Having to embark on a DIY project just for something I would rather buy finished seems a little too much work...
