Someone should introduce the author to basic math.

Google says this about supernovae: "The total energy output may be 10^44 joules". The author clearly doesn't understand how big of a number this is. You'd have to harvest ALL the energy output of our own star and accumulate it for billions of years to get that kind of energy.

The energy may be spread out over several days, maybe 5 million seconds or 5^18 femtoseconds. but even if you divide 10^44 by 5^18, you've still got a number so large, I don't even think we have a metric prefix for it.

To be honest, I was expecting you to comment, correcting the article XD

In my original post I wanted to say that I doubt the possibly of such lasers to exist (especially in 5 years time), but I wasn't entirely sure so I thought I better stay out of it lol

And I don't think there's a metric prefix for it either, since the result is something to the power of 31. Highest prefix I've heard was Yotta which is pretty far away
