I'm ashamed to be admitting that I now own one of these as I ordered it in December and just now recieved it... Anyways, I made two quick videos for you guys:
(burn tests)
Testing the goggles, They are actually pretty good, only the white spot is visible.

Now for my questions:
1. Wicked lasers claims my laser registered 1.5w, as I don't have an LPM how might I go about verifying that?
2. This laser is unable to burn steel wool or solder even at high power. Is that normal of lasers of "1.5w"?
3. If either of the above isn't true should I go about getting a refund, and where could I get it lpm'd?

Thanks guys

What is pretty interesting is your camera makes the Arctic look as if it was closer to 473 then 445 ;)

Haha yeah your right, since im not sure how to go about this, is there any special way to ship the laser?(so it doesnt get confiscated?) the closest map member to me is scopeguy20, i sent him a pm.

Did you purchase the expanded lens kit? The focus lens really helps with burning solder and the wire wool. There is no way to accurately verify output power unless you have an LPM. I own the same laser with a claimed 1.7W output and it can ignite white paper without too much trouble. I'd forget the idea of chasing for a refund and just enjoy it!

Are you located in the US? If so just ship it in a box with the batteries via USPS. I've shipped lasers in the US like that & they always got there without too much trouble, just make sure to have them stamp "fragile" on it & let them know you are shipping with batteries!

I didn't purchase it, and i am regretting that now.

When you ship via USPS you should get something asking you questions when you get to the post office asking if you are shipping any dangerous goods(which include lithium batteries) :)

I'd think twice about marking it 'Fragile,' as this will encourage the unscrupulous employees to play Frisbee and basketball with the package. Sure I read about this on these forums just the other day...

Lol! Depends on who the employees are I suppose. I've shipped all my lasers with fragile from my local post office & they all get there without a ding :D

@joey
Nope!
