Does anybody have any details about this ? Looks like the lasers com from the top, from some kind of mirror head. Still those lasers look awfully strong. On the other hand, there is a fence.

I want to aim my laser to the top. I wonder what effect it has.

I have a couple of ideas, none of which are very good. In the photo you can see a little trace of the beam coming out the top, if that helps anyone determine what they are doing to make the effect.

Emitter of the laser beam is probably hidden inside the statue, with beam rising upwards.

It then hits a tip of an upside-down multi-sided (around what, 12?) pyramid mirror. Beam gets split into several more beams and directed back down into the beamstops.

Most impressive.

I keep looking at this photo, it really is quite beautiful. Is there a thread for laser art?

Look at what the 2 right most beams are doing close to the ground, what's that about

Which makes me thinking .. this might be no lasers at all ! Look closely .. there are dark 'wires' hanging nearer to the statue. Also it's rather bright, and not uniformly. Look how bright the 'beams' are compared to street lamps an lights on the statue. Can the beams be optical fibers of some sort ? Then maybe the second set can be turned on too ..

That would make sense! It would be a whole lot cheaper and safer too, but why would there be one coming directly out of the top? (You can see it in the pic you just posted)

It looks like strings with oil dripping down them like the old 70s lamps. Would explain how they did line on the ground. Wit a lazor on top for effect.

If you mean, the bent beams, they are refracted in the water, just as a stick looks bent in the water, also, there is reflections just there, to make it a bit more confusing as well... -GH

Looks to me like some sort of fiber optic filament that is lit by laser from the top. The line out the top could be a low power laser or it could be a rod since it isn't clear if it continues indefinitely. Also, on all of the images line a piece of paper up to one of the beams at the sides and you can see how it isn't perfectly straight and actually bows inward very slightly.

Either way it looks pretty cool though.

This is fiberoptic or the beams are coming from the bottom going upward. If they beams were coming from the top they would reflect out away from the statue when they hit the surface of the water.
