Oldest green laser pointer I have is this Limate model GP4 from 1998.

That is awesome! I had one of those when I was around 15. It was my first green laser and first laser period that wasn't a 1mW red keychain.

Edit: Just remembered, it was from a company called "Deharpport Trading Company". Doesn't seem to be around anymore. This was around 2003.

Those are some sweet hosts. That one that looks like a tank shell was made by MrMouse? Reminds me of that replica German Stick Grenade laser host he made and tried to auction here on LPF.

My first laser was a HeNe I repurposed from a Panasonic video disc player I used to make holograms with in 1980. Gave it to my daughter years later. Fell out of her closet and that was that. I still have about 7 HeNes left in my collection along with a single line argon. My oldest pointer is a 660 nm pointer doing about 1 mW. Still works though. I do have many photos on Imgur. Will have to see if they are still available.

Another one circa ~ 2008/2009. Back when DealeXtreme had decent items for sale. 50 mW DPSS 532 nm. The only reason I have kept it all these years is the fact it has been the only pre-built laser from overseas that actually spec'd exactly what it said it would. Last time I checked it was 50 +/- 0.1 mW and 532 +/- 2nm.

My first laser pointer was a Laserex LDP 300UB that I obtained in 1987.
Its wavelength was 670nm (deep red) and power output was approximately 1mW.

It used either 3 N cells (for a bit of extra power) or 2 AAA cells (for extended battery life).

This 1985 Sentec model 201 He-Ne laser pointer has a unique shape and still operates. I love the mechanical shutter on its 5 mW output. Such power must be controlled!
