So I was at My Nards the other day and they were having a sale on pen lights. It has a nice
anodized aluminum body, perfect as a heatsink. (is a bit thin though) Takes 2xAAA cells,
incandescent lamp
What's your next idea... I could probably guess :na:
To answer you OP I think a nice reasonable red would look nice in there. Nothing too powerful to keep the duty cycle long (unlimited?) and extend battery life. I tend to drain my batteries in my "Laser of the day" rather quickly.
Yeah. I've been watching you and handing out ++reps along the way. I agree. A red would look nice -
probably nicer than what I'm actually going to put in it. I have a need for a 405nm though for setting UV
glue and have a 405nm diode out of a GGW drive. That is what's going in failing some large shift in the
energies. Here are some spechts of the build:
6x GGW diode
Driver: Illumination Supply Micro Boost
Host: Menard's "ToolShop" Penlite as per the above
Thermal: Custom burn one turn one (on the lathe) heat sink
Optical: Probably the original sled optics as per TunedCavity's "Super Lens" hopefully set into the
above heatsink
