Hi there! I wanted to make a thread here asking folk about their interactions with materials and lasers! In particular, optical phenomena and visible reactions to lasers aside from the obvious few (Ex: Fluorescence from low-wavelength near UV Violet Lasers{Specifically around the 405nm range}. | Fuel compounds igniting from high power output LASER. | Carbonization of general organic material.)
What I'd like to learn is what materials people have found involving solids, or other liquids, or gases and any other general interesting optical phenomena people have observed from LASER absorption of the material or through visual components of the beam passing through a substance causing a change in the the light being emitted in particular.
When I ask this I'm asking in particular about stuff similar to Dichroic mirrors, and ANYTHING involving physical interference with the wavelengths of Light being emitted.
Thank you all lots if any of you manage to get to posting their nifty findings!
