I am in the process of building a flight sim.
I have bought some translucent opal acrylic and spray painted it black with plasticoat .im wanting to etch the black aeay to reveal white underneath in the form of text and lines. I've researched YouTube and Google and found a couple of people etching the black to reveal the white underneath using the Chinese k40 laser.
I only need to engrave text and lines.i don't need to cut the acrylic.
My question is would a 445 diode laser ,maybe say the neje 20w do what I need it to.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
