It was as much as my processor costed back in the day ''when it first came out'' about 900 to 1000 dollar.

*i readed the sticker... it's actually 480GB
I think i can still save it, but it show's a red light when trying to boot from it, resulting in nothing.
I need to find a way to erase it, (and there is a way i believe) but i can't be bothered with it right now.

My case looks just about the same as everyone else's here. Just more RAM installed and possibly an inferior video card (470GTS). Funny how most cases have one of two layout configurations, both of which I've had in the past.

Still, none of them have the moronic design of the Lian-Li upside down case I once got. Everything was backwards, from the exhaust fan near the bottom of the case, to the case opening on the RIGHT side instead of the left (no, I did not just turn the case upside-down; it had wheels on it!). For some reason my cat also likes to climb into it.

Didn't have much $$$, so just went with a 120GB Samsung 840. I've heard they're pretty good for the price, I paid $109.

Good deal that is. I know the Samsung units are popular. You should start a thread with your thoughts on the results. I'd love to hear what you think of SSD vs. HDD.

SSD's will spoil you and you can never come back to using HDD's again, at least for your OS drive.

I've got 2 250GB drives and 1 320GB drive I'll just use for storing stuff on.

I rarely shut my computer down anyway, at least on purpose, so faster application starting was my main reason to try a SSD. Faster boots and shutdowns are nice too, though
