    Good luck trying to educate many people on the proper use of engineering units. I'm an electrical engineer. It hurts my ears to hear wattage instead of power. It's even worse to hear ohmage instead of resistance. But, they are both accepted as valid words in Merriam-Webster and other dictionaries. Our language seems to change to accept garbage if the garbage is in common use.
