First of all, the RPL isn't CNI, is it?  So, I'm assuming that the Techlasers "Skybolt" is a copy of the RPL.  As if that's not enough, the price comparisons on their pages are WRONG.  Flat out wrong.  Look: http://www.techlasers.com/portable-green-lasers-225mw-p-44.html.  An RPL 200 is $709, not $989!  An RPL 225 is also $779, NOT $849!  They listed the 200 as MORE than the 225!?!?!  Also, all of the tech specs are EXACTLY word for word copied from the optotronics page.  Techlasers= ultra omega stupidly giant supernova sized FAIL.

FAIL

/end FAIL rant

LOL they actually copied that word for word from optotronics. I wonder if they could be sued for that?

Yes techlasers=EPIC FAIL
See my thread about their TITAN series for more EPIC FAIL.

Yep I heard about that one... A copy of the Laserglow Hercules. So, basically they take real good lasers, copy them with crappy materials and chinese made parts, and sell them for twice what it cost to make them. And when the customer tests his "Titan 200mW" to be 180mW and mode hopping, the "customer service" never answers. I just don't understand how anyone can buy ANYTHING from them.

I would just stick with the pen CNIs if I bought from them again.

Yeah, I didn't mean to say that everything they sell is bad, I've actually heard that the CNI pens are OK... Sometimes.

The pen style lasers probably aren't that bad because they are made by the same manufacturer that makes the nova x-series. Everything else that they sell is cheap imitation crap. Check out their copy of the laserglow Aquarius too.

As Justin from LG says, that doesn't mean they are good. Any manufacturer has good and bad units and it takes a picky distributor to return the crap ones and keep the good ones.

Lol, guys. I seriously doubt that their titan and Crossfire lasers are imitation CNIs. They are already getting the pen style lasers from CNI so why would they imitate the rest? The RPLs may be imitations though because technically if CNI made them they would be an imitation of the ones Jack gets. But does this mean they are bad quality? Who knows.

RPLs are not CNIs. They are made by Viasho(sp?) I think I read somewhere on here that the green lasers sold in the group buy (S-KY lasers) are the same things as the crossfire series sold by TL, except the ones in the group buy are tested with a power meter :P

*sigh* NO.

The Crossfire's are CNI PGL-IIIs. Not S-KYs.

And Viasho does make the RPLs. And the Skybolts. The only thing different is the pump diode... Jack gets 2.5W nLight diodes, and everyone else gets cheaper 1-2W diodes. Ever wonder why TL only sells them up to 225mWs?

That's actually not the case. The Titan and the Hercules are the same unit , made by the same company. The only difference is that LaserGlow tests them and hold their word that what they give you is good stuff, and if it's not, they will help you out.Techlasers doesn't do that. They just sell everything they get. What TL could sell as a Titan 400 maybe only goes as a Herc 200 at LG because they found it dropping dramatically after 20 seconds.Or it may just sent back to CNI labeled as "crap" because it mode hops.

Ultra omega giant supernova sized LOL :D :D :D :D

I like how on their price comparison charts, the names of other companies are images instead of text so they won't show up on google searches or other search engines spidering the website.

like i wrote someware earlier if i didn't see the comparason against optotronics
i would have never found optotronics(yes im a newbee) but already heavely addicted to lasers up in the 2000 range of stuff bought inless than a year
my Rpl 260 is the bomb I am looking at the rpl blue now ;) ;D :o
