I've been looking for an LPM for a while, and it seems ebay only offers heavily used Ophir sensors or they charge you an arm and a leg.

I'm looking for a good LPM that reads up to >3.5W with a resolution of at least 1mW. Preferably with an Ophir sensor or something of equal quality.

Datalogging is not a must but it would be a plus for sure.

Thanks.

I thought I saw a thread about the Radiant X4 being ready for shipment very soon. I know it said they had 30 ready and a lot more on the way. I think the receiving company got robbed and it was going to take about 2 weeks to resolve. I may be mistaken though.

Yeah, I know about the radiant. It's just that I'd rather have an Ophir or similar sensor for my LPM. I'll probably get it if I can't find what I'm looking for though.

Hi G,
you might want to check out J.Bauer electronics. They have a large selection of LPM'S.

Rich:)

After reading about the guy that sells those LPM's there's no way I'll be buying one from him. Also, 80 bucks for international shipping, what the hell?

J bauer is laserbee^

Keep an eye out on ebay, that's your best bet. Haven't seen one in a while though.

yeah LPMs are expensive, pretty much no way around that. any good one is going to cost you probably a minimum of $500 if its in even reasonable condition in my experience, and lets not get into new stuff. I got mine for about that. I'll ask around and see if I can find a good one. might still have one sitting around somewhere. there was one like mine up recently, but I think someone bought it already.

Thanks for the replies guys. I actually managed to get a good new condition Ophir head for 300$ about two weeks ago. Forgot all anout this thread. I'll probably hook it up to a voltmeter sometime these days.
