WTB an Arctic S3 Spyder

Hey there guys,

Looking around at the moment for someone selling a G1 Arctic S3 Spyder, I don't feel like waiting months to get one from Wicked so I am willing to pay a small premium to get one from someone that doesn't want it anymore.

I understand I am new here, so trust is an issue but hey, if you can provide me with proof you own the laser and look legitimate I will pay via. Paypal for my own protection.

I am from the UK but will happily buy from overseas.

i have one on its way to me. i am one of the FIRST orders(<47940), and have been waiting for some time, and finally confirmed processing last week.

i can confirm this however i need to, but need to confirm you as well, but would be interested in parting with this, as i need the money i spent oh so long ago, for much bigger, more productive laser projects.

Hey hey.

I've heard this, the DL 447nm does look nice however the rectangle beam puts me off. I have tried calling DL to see if they are in stock to no avail.. Do you know anything? :).

Well most people who are receiving Arctics now paid ~$199 for them.

I'd gladly pay up to ~$260 or so, near retail of the Arctic itself. Need to factor in shipping however.
 
The s3 has a rectangular beam as well. WL lies about quite a few things it seems... DL does not have them in stock but people who ordered have gotten them in the time quoted, DL has yet to lie.

Hmm, well do you know what the time frame is for an order from them? As I said, calling seems a frivolous goosechase..

From what I understand, ALL 445nm lasers have a rectangular beam because of the nature of the diode - a linear array of tiny diodes all powered within one diode casing. This is unavoidable except with corrective optics.
 
So by "small premium" you will pay at least the cost that WL is selling them now, which is $300 + $20-30 shipping?

Short of some special lab lasers (and perhaps not even then), all the 445nm lasers have a rectangular beam. People were curious as to whether WL would be able to somehow live up to its claims and form a round beam, but really, we all knew they were outright lying.

For the price of buying someone's Arctic, I'd get in on Scopeguy's CNI group buy. They need ten purchasers to get the $270 deal, but the CNI is going to be much better quality than the Arctic, albeit the Arctic host might look cooler.

I said I'd pay around $260 for the Arctic + the shipping, as all the people who have them now paid $199 for them.

People paid $200 + $30 shipping, I would have paid $60-70 more to receive it one week after ordering it (June 8th)

just received this. this is for a G1 as if i wanted a gay little multi switch, i would have built a 445 on an led driver months ago.

Do you have a good email for these guys? My order was 472xx and I still haven't heard a freaking word.
