Why is my 200mw red laser dims

What is your laser. Did you build it, or did you buy it?

Are you sure the driver output is correct?
Are your batteries correct?
Are you heatsinking correctly?
Etc. Etc.

We need a whole bunch more info.

That will likely be fine as it is just a mass produced pointer and their price is not outrageous. I would steer clear of the 450nm blue as that host can't remove heat very well.

Paul, he asking why his laser is dimming.
Ainus, could be from over use but you really should try a good 18650 battery before making any more post's.
The cheap cells are really bad even for lower powered lasers..
A little more info will help also, is it dimming right away or after a little run time?

OOPS! I usually look at the OP, but didn't for some reason. Sorry.

As to the dimming of a red pointer, it could be the tail switch that is causing this. Might also want to try a different battery to rule that out.
