Voltage overhead for 2 x 445 in series

I just realized my 445s may be underpowered..I don't know.

Basically, 2 A140s are in series, connected to a Flexmod P3, running at 1.4A 18V(regulated).
They outputing about 890mW each. Shouldn't they be closer to 1200mW. Is the voltage too low to carry this current taking into account the driver also requires voltage.

18 VDC should be plenty of voltage to power your series diodes.

You could be getting some voltage drop in your wiring.

Check the voltage at each diode while operating.

Good point....I am using a thin gauge wire. Perhaps I need a thicker wire

I just remeasured the amps today. The current is set too 1.65A. Both lasers giving +- 1800mW total. Running the laser as a single unit at this current gives 1300mW.

Wiring looks ok. Should I de-solder with wiring from the diodes and replace it with thicker guage?

Can't hurt to use beefier wires.
