I too am looking here. Very reasonable prices from what I see.
The
LZSK532-300 532nm 300mW Green laser has really caught my eye. (yeah, I know) :horse:
I'm jumping in for the advice ride as I am seriously ready to own!
Don't have that specific one, although I have two identical looking lasers from o-like. (Both peak over 500mW:eg: although one has ~90mW of IR. Going to post the weaker one up for $250.)
Personally I like the host a lot. I'm not sure if it is waterproof, but I can attest to the fact that it is weatherproof.
The cons are, you really should use high quality batteries with this laser. It uses a 2W pump diode, so it puts a lot of strain on the battery and depletes it fast.
Heat is also an issue with this model, I would stick to 1 minute or 90 second duty cycles.
I haven't seen any of these lasers from lazerer reviewed yet, but to be honest, I'm also very curious how they compare vs the o-like 400mW model.
With o-like that model has been very hit and miss. First one I got was almost DOA and very underspec, so I had to send it back (~$50 in shipping lost and took two months).
Also there is no telling how much of the 300mW is IR. It can be a lot, or it can be very little. If you do get this laser I would recommend asking Max to test the laser with with and without IR - it's worth the extra $2 or whatever.
They can also probably install an IR filter for you. If you plan to burn with the laser, that's a must. Either that or you need green and ir blocking goggles.
