just ordered parts for my first handheld laser, and cant wait to start the build.

I'm an engineer, love mechanics, but just recently started to get interested in electronics as well. This might be a good second step after my little solar panel experiments.

I've read the stickies and such. Not everything (yet) coz its a big read.

Yeah, the goggles are def. on my to buy list. I'm searching the web for a store nearby which have them. I'm not keen on getting my eyes shot at with a laser just yet.

I've got this small solar panel (really small, like 1" x 1"), which can power led lights, charge an AA battery, and stuff like that. I've just been experimenting with it. I'm also getting bits and pieces here and there to build a tesla coil. Still in the claculation phase though.
