I am planning to present on lasers and laser safety, and want to have a fun and amazing presentation. Of course, I really want to use a 500mW green, but I have never owned one of that power. I will be using a laser trap I made, which seems to do a decent job at trapping the light.

Also does anyone have any thoughts on this laser?

Get a lab laser if you're doing a presentation on safety, they can't roll off a table.

Do you think a 100mW would produce a good beam in a well lit room? Safety is number 1, especially in a room filled with people, so I dont want it to be too powerful. However, having an amazing beam is also important to draw everyone in.

the beam of 100mW of 532 will not be visible in a well lit room at all, unless you use a fog machine :-) foggers are an excellent way of making lower visibility lasers ... quite visible ! 50mW 405nm for example under some fog looks amazing

I think the best way for me to figure everything out is experiment with different products and setups. Nothing can be substituted for experience :thanks:
