for my birthday!

Panasonic DMC-ZS19 with 14.2 MP and a 20x ( this thing is better than my binoculars it's crazy.)

It's honestly blowing me away since all i used before was like a 3.4 MP camera from 2004 and a ipod.

Here's a few "preview" pictures before I get around to posting something epic.

Edit: 2nd picture with the water box is with 20x zoom during midday. You can see the green laser is mode hoping and the dot is messed up. I'm amazed by the quality of this camera.

For sure you'll be amazed if your last camera was 7-8 years old!

20x optical zoom is pretty amazing though, even today very few cameras come with such a zoom range. The best thing about your camera is that it still has a very good wide angle though, something often missing in cameras with great zoom capabilities.

I can't even describe my amazement. I just took a picture outside with iso at 3200 and 15 sec exposure it's just as bright as a cloudy day. O_o More pictures soon.

Standalone camera's and DSLR are way better than the tiny camera's in the cell phones.
People will be amazed of the quality of photos when they got hands on a real photo camera.

Joeyss,

Happy birthday!

That camera looks very nice. Was the picture of the green laser & water bottle taken with auto or manual focus?

( I suffer from the ownership of an antiquated camera. ) It's definitely time for me to upgrade and the DMC-ZS19 looks like a good choice.

I set the exposure and I zoomed in. It has a thing were you can choose what you want to focus on by holding the button. It's very amazing. Too bad I have to cut down the images before I post them here.

Upload your pictures to Photobucket or Flickr. Then you can post the " img url " and we can enjoy your pics in all their glory.

congrats on your new camera ^_^

When you familiarize yourself with all the manual controls you can get pretty amazing photos out of it :wave:

Here's a few more. I'm getting sick of resizing so I'm probably gonna just make a album somewhere.
