Hey Everyone,

I had the original 405nm maXYZ module which died a couple months ago. I sent it to a friend from another forum and he replaced the diode and collimator with a diode from a 6x burner. Running at 191mA it produces 203mW out the aperture, Far more efficient then a typical diode and the longer wavelength, measured with my spectrometer, means the output is way brighter.

It is running great! The module is basically new because I always kept it in a antistatic baggie.

I would like to ask $200 OBO for this shipped. I will include the heatsink and a small power supply for it.

Measured the wl, what was the wl?  O.K. somehow I missed the 409 nm part!   LOL!

I would sure like to know the wl on some of my IgorT builds!

Wavelength.

Wavelength was measured with my Ocean Optics USB4000 spectrometer after going through a self calibration session.

Send me your offers :)

wouldn't mind the spectrometer. LOL

Don't want to sell that one :) And besides, if you bought it, your entire laser budget would be eaten up :)

BUMP

Remember, I do accept best offers...

I will revise the price to $200. Remember, this is a module, it can be run CW for as long as you want.

No pictures Ben?

Is this the 6X build that you are selling?

While I have heard good things about maXYZ modules, what exactly sets this module apart from any other 405nm lab module? This is a serious question, I'm not trying to seem condescending..

Re: Selling 200mW 409nm maXYZ module JayRob editio

The main thing is quality. Many of the other products out there are in homemade mounts and heatsinks. This one is fully integrated in a small sturdy aluminum heatsink with nice flat base with mounting holes for screws. The module has a very nice machines aluminum plate and is easy to work on simply by loosening one screw. It has a flexmod inside the head and has a high quality silicone cable coming out with connections, everything is thought out, even down to the cable relief that keeps the cable from kinking and pulling out. It is truly a high quality module. And besides, it is the perfect platform to experiment with other systems on if you decide to.

Is that an XLR connector?

They do look nice, for sure. I was just wondering what all the hype's about.. The flexmod alone is a great feature to have. Definitely a nice package.

Yeah, this isn't the first one. I just stuck one on the lathe and cut off the connector part. It now fits perfectly inside the head and is held with one set screw.
