The father of the laser passed away earlier today in Berkeley, California.
He was 99.
Light a laser for a few minutes in memory him.

Thanks for sharing this unfortunate news. I read on an article his health was declining so in a way he is in a better place now.

I read that 'the laser' has bumped the electric light bulb(Edison) from the most significant invention list.
But not all agree.
Lasers don't make many lists at all..
cant argue- that. either way..

The majority of incandescent lights will not be around much longer....
