Red keychain laser/ LED

Hi. I got a <5mw keychain laser from Wally-world and would like to know if it can be modded in anyway to increase power, possible to burn. I will post a few photos.

That diode wont be able to handle anywhere near enough power to burn anything.

Speedy is right, don't waste your time, it's not gonna happen.
A 200 mW red would make a great burner, they can be had for ~$50.

Pretty much. Jayrob has some small keychain build kits that would offer more power. But you can only pack so much into a small keychain host. Jayrob

My son has about 5 of those keychains... I know the one you are talking about, we get them in the check out aisle at walmart...

Cant be modded, but thats fine... Its nice to have a lower powered laser for some purposes, as you get higher up in output, there's less you can actually do with the laser (without goggles for everyone)
