real quick question for 5mW red (650nm) diode

All, for an optical assembly I need to solder a quick testing setup. What's the typical current for a 5mW red diode.? Is it 20mA or 200mA??? Lost it somewhere...

They aren't all the same, 25-35mA, but some are 40-60mA, threshold current should be 20mA.
