New project I have been working on:

RGB.jpg

A portable Lab laser with 650nm Red, 445nm Blue and 532nm Green primaries.

It is powered by two #18650 3400mah Panasonic cells for run times of over 2.5 hours.
(Or 9-12 VDC @ 1 amp plug-in supply)

Switches control White, Red, Blue, Green, Magenta, Turquoise, and Yellow/Green.
(Or individual TTL control of R,G & B)

Inside it has actual adjustable dichroic mounts:

These should allow better far-field alignment.

Complete with batteries it weights 1 lb. 6 oz.and is 4" long.

Next, is a processor to automate color changes.

Power Levels:
200mw Blue 460
80mw Green 532
120mw Red 650

I've been salivating over the idea of owning an RGB Spiro party setup for many years. It's encouraging to see this may soon be in my future at a reasonable cost. I guess gas lasers and quadrature oscillators are a thing of the past.

Would you mind sending me a PM with info as well? I've been thinking about grabbing an rgb white for a while, just can't seem to pull the trigger.

It costs $168, has 470nm in it, and is 'not DPSS laser' as stated on the bottom ? There must be something I missed ..

Probably wrong info.
I was just wondering whether larry is the same guy i linked on ebay, because the product looks like the same. These are nice little portables :)
Seriously, you can build yourself a very cheap rgb projector with one of these. Not sure if the colors would be good enough for shows that require analogue modulation though. Still hell of a deal imo :)

Rodman;

Here is a still photo I took with an 1/8 second exposure:

It only caught a portion of the pattern I was creating by hand.

You can see the white arc in the center, and the sharp lines of the blue, green and red.

I am very impressed with the alignment and quality of this RGB laser module.

When you consider the the price point of ~$160,

it is an amazing feat.

The "White Fusion" RGB modules were ~$320 for less power.

Or more likely it is a Kasio 445- so far that seems to be the current belief- there is a thread on this started ny Merry at Laserlands<-username

ATM we dont know if the LLands version even has TTL and no doubt it is NOT anallog..

Even if Larry needs to charge more than the laserlands version I am sure it will be better- arrive sooner-have better aftre-the -sale support and the obvious diff. of being both portable and able to run off mains .

And Larry has used 'REAL' dichros mounts that are adjustable- that is a huge improvement. My 532/200mW module from LLands was only a tad ove 40 mW- and no replacement was offered when I asked.. so-- shop LPF --:beer: to Larry

I am interested in one ,but I can't really decide without a price tag lol

LarryDFW, would a kit like this interface well with yours? I assume the RGB outputs would hook up to your inputs but what about the power leads and limiting resistors he refers to?

I'm pretty handy with a soldering iron but need a little help with the whole circuit design thing...
